ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Jessica L. Mayes
Jessica L. Mayes, military wife and mother of two received her Associates of Applied Science Degree in Medical Billing and Coding in 2008; and worked in the medical field from 2008-2016. She began her journey to becoming an author in late 2016 following a daring conversation with her six year old niece Shamyra. Motivated by Shamyra's tenacity Jessica decided to create change by inspiring diversity through storytelling. Using her vivid imagination and Shamyra's courage she created Goddess and the Missing Magical Eel. Jessica is an impassioned writer who has always had a knack for telling creative stories. She describes herself as a curious Author who loves exploring, writing and encouraging children. Her ultimate goal is to inspire little girls by bringing them joyful memories and experiences through her craft. Jessica dedicated her debut book Goddess and the Missing Magical Eel to her nieces Shamyra and Lyn'Nia. She has since became a small business owner. Turning her book into a brand titled The Mermaid Cutie Collection.

Jessica L. Mayes is extremely proud and excited to share her latest and greatest work Goddess and the Missing Magical Eel.
Goddess the mermaid learns a valuable lesson and makes long lasting friendships as she searches the deep blue sea!
Goddess and the Missing Magical Eel is my debut children's picture book. This project might have been a lengthy one, but this was one story that really needed to be told and I am thrilled to share!
